I'm being naughty and skipping over Day 23, which is inspired by a movie to jump right into Day 24, inspired by a book.
I've only really started caring about make up in the past two years. Before that, I just wore mascara, some tinted moisturiser and kind of hoped for the best. My housemate swears by Zoë Foster's Amazing Face and I've been reading it recently. Zoë is one hilarious lass and her make up and skincare tips are fabulous!
Amazing Face was sitting on my desk while I was painting my nails the other day and I thought the colours and patterns would be perfect for nail art! The mani ended up looking nothing like the cover but it did alert me to the fact that I need more deep reddish purple nail polish.
What an awesome looking manicure! So much fun going on in there! I love how you've interpreted your inspiration onto your nails! So lovely and new! ♥
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the book nor the author, but that manicure is full gorgeous! :D I love it!
ReplyDeletethese are so artsy--i love it!!
ReplyDeleteLooks amazing!
ReplyDeletelooks so pretty ! You're an artist!
ReplyDeleteThis manicure is amaaazing! How did you do it?
ReplyDeleteFrom memory, I think I just used the nail polish brush for the big blobs, and a striper paint brush for the lines. The spotchy colours (green and orange) were probably made using the torn end of a make up sponge. And I think there was a dotter in there somewhere too! Sorry, it's been ages since I did this! I can't remember the specifics. It's the kind of mani that you can just freestyle! The less planning the better!
